Itinerary

Day 1

Arrivanl in Kutaisi

Meeting at the airport. Transfer and check-in at the hotel. Overnight in Kutaisi.

Day 2

Kutaisi, city tour

After breakfast have an excursion in Kutaisi. Visit the following sites: Bagrati Cathedral dating back to the XI century, built by the first king of United Georgian kingdom Bagrat III. Gelati monastery- the UNESCO site and very important religious, cultural- educational center, established by David the Builder, the most prominent Georgian king in the XI-XII centuries. Continue the tour in Tskaltubo resort and visit Prometheus cave, which offers 1.6 km long walk through the 5 beautiful halls. Drive to Mestia, the administrative center of Svaneti region, remote highland in the north-west On the way to Mestia serpentine road passes by the largest in Georgia, Enguri reservoir. Overnight in Mestia.

Day 3

Ushguli Community

After breakfast start excursion in Ushguli. Ushguli is the UNESCO site at the rising of the highest glacier in Georgia Shkhara (5201m above sea level). Ushguli is the highest inhabited area in Europe at the altitude of 2200 m above sea level where you can visit the cultural monuments; IX –X century towers, X century La Maria church, Queen Tamar’s tower, Ushguli ethnographical museum and walking through the village explore the real authentic life of local people. Drive back to Mestia. Overnight in Mestia.

Day 4

Zugdidi

After breakfast drive to Zugdidi - the administrative center of Samegrelo region, located in the west Georgia, is the historical city first mentioned in history in the XVII century. Zugdidi was the residence of Dadiani noble family. Dadiani palace, built by the Prince David Dadiani in the XIX century, is at present historical museum of Zugdidi which preserved the belongings of Dadiani family and approximately 50000 items are exhibited in the museum along with the virgin Marry shroud and Napoleon’s mask. The palace is surrounded by beautiful 67hectares garden laid out by foreign gardeners. In the evening arrive in Batum, located on the Black Sea coast. Overnight in Batumi.

Day 5

Batumi, City tour

In the morning have Batumi city tour. Batumi is the administrative center of Adjara region, located in the west Georgia, on the black sea littoral. It is the biggest industrial zone and port of Georgia including the railway and the airport. The city is of eclectic architectural site, offering in every ten minutes, astronomical watch, alphabet tower, chacha tower, Poseidon and Medea statues. Piazza square is the complex of hotels and restaurants with the performance stage. Driving 41 km away from Batumi visit Keda administrative center in Adjara region. The region is famous for the mineral water, medieval churches and bridges dating back to the XII century. Driving through the beautiful Adjarian villages road leads to the well-known Makhuntseti waterfall, falling from the height of 50 meters. Overnight in Batumi.

Day 6

Departure day

After breakfast visit Batumi botanical garden, the biggest botanical garden in Georgia, which measures 108 hectares. Beautiful floristic collection from all around the world is represented here and is divided in 9 sectors. Drive to Kutaisi. Transfer to the Kutaisi international airport. Departure.
